Director Statement

In my debut project, I attempted to touch upon the elusive theme of generational heritage in the family, the history of a Jewish family in the 20th century, and the lack of continuity in this history due to historical disturbances in Eastern Europe in the first half of the 20th century. Drawing from authentic experiences, I not only set the task of describing a very painful experience but also the helplessness that comes with the loss of a loved one. This loss cannot be filled or compensated; it can only be lived through by immersing oneself in one’s feelings, memories, and contemplating insignificant material objects from the past.
