Potlems

Potlems is a 3D animated mini-opera set in a peculiar world of ever-smiling porcelain children. Ginger comes to life as part of a seemingly perfect family, but a small imperfection immediately sets him apart: a frown has accidentally been painted on his face. When his creator discovers the flaw, the joyful song comes to an abrupt halt—Ginger must be corrected.

Inspired by the visual aesthetic of 1970s stop-motion animation, the film uses its stylized porcelain world, music, and darkly playful premise to explore conformity, imperfection, and the pressure to fit within an idealized society. Behind its charming surface lies a world where happiness is expected, difference is treated as a defect, and even a simple frown can become a dangerous act of individuality.
