Suffering from loneliness, the young artist decides to commit suicide. On the brink of death, he has a conversation with his inner self.

What happens when the only person left to talk to is yourself?

The Dialogue is a poignant psychological drama that explores loneliness, despair, and the fragile boundary between life and death. As a young artist reaches the darkest moment of his life and prepares to end it all, he finds himself confronted by an unexpected presence: his own inner voice.

What follows is an intimate conversation about isolation, purpose, human connection, and the reasons to keep going when hope seems lost.

Directed by Anthony Radkowski, this thought-provoking short film transforms a deeply personal crisis into a universal reflection on the need for understanding, belonging, and the connections that give meaning to our lives.

A powerful and emotionally resonant story about confronting oneself before it is too late.

About the director:

Anthony Radkowski, also known as Anton Radchenko, is a Ukrainian writer and filmmaker from Kharkiv. After years of writing stories and novels, he embarked on a hitchhiking journey across Europe, where a chance encounter with a French first assistant director in the fields of Provence inspired him to take his first steps from literature into filmmaking—an art form that had long been his greatest creative passion.

Over the following years, Anthony dedicated himself to studying screenwriting, directing, and cinematography while gaining practical experience on film sets and building a creative team of collaborators. However, the outbreak of war in Ukraine interrupted these plans. The resulting chaos and displacement scattered his original crew, forcing him to begin again and assemble a new team a year later.

His debut short film, The Dialogue, was produced during the war and faced numerous challenges throughout its development and production. Despite these obstacles, the film was successfully completed, marking the beginning of Anthony’s filmmaking career and demonstrating his resilience, determination, and commitment to storytelling.
