Zigguart FilmFest – Regulations
This is the official regulation for Zigguart FilmFest 2025.
It outlines the eligibility, submission process, categories, awards, screening terms, and filmmaker responsibilities. All participants are required to read and agree to these terms before submitting their films.

At Zigguart Filmfest, we’re not just celebrating films; we’re investing in their futures. As part of a year-long initiative powered by Zigguart Multimedia’s talent agency and distribution company, we go beyond traditional festival offerings to ensure your film reaches its highest potential.
• Year-Long Collaboration: Our commitment doesn’t end with the festival. For an entire year, we’ll work closely with your film, crafting exclusive strategies tailored to its unique strengths.
• Global Distribution Opportunities: Through our strategic partnership with Filmhub and Amazon Prime Direct, we connect selected films to over 120+ global streaming platforms and channels, including Apple TV, Amazon Prime, HBO, Netflix, and more. This ensures audiences around the world see your story.
• Festival and Streaming Success: From navigating festival circuits to securing top-tier streaming placements, we offer personalized support to position your film for success.
Awards & Prizes
Worldwide Distribution Package (Valued at €1,000):
Winner films will receive international distribution through Prime Video (US, UK, Germany) and other major platforms via our strategic partnership with Filmhub. This includes the opportunity to earn monthly viewership royalties and reach a global audience.
Exclusive Post-Production Services for Winner Films (valued at over $5,000):
Includes translations, subtitles, SDH captions (.srt in Italian or English), trailer creation, technical fixes, compression, and projection-ready file finalization. Provided free of charge to all selected winners.
Global Exposure & Audience Engagement:
Winner films will be promoted across Zigguart Multimedia, Zigguart Virtual Art Gallery, and our Instagram and YouTube channels. All selected films will be featured in a 10-day global online screening, with audiences voting for the Audience Award. Directors and their work gain lasting visibility through our permanent online catalog and curated promotional showcases.
Rules & Terms
Open to national and international works.
Short films: max duration of 40 minutes.
Feature Films Over 60 Minutes
Documentary films over 15 Minutes
Animation Films over 5 Minutes
All submissions require English subtitles.
Multiple entries are allowed (with separate registration).
There is no limit to the year of screening, any year is accepted
All fees are non-refundable
Any genre is accepted
The jury may decide to change the entry category of any film if it deems it appropriate.
The decision of the festival selection committee will be final.
The festival authorities will have the right to retain copies of each film and the material send as part of our festival library & can be screened in for Education, promotion, awareness & commercial purposes.
All selected films receive the Official Laurel of the festival, while winners are honored with a special Winner’s Laurel and Certificate.

Eligibility for Distribution Packages: Only films produced after 2023 are eligible for our festival distribution packages.

Eligibility for Streaming Distribution: We focus on streaming distribution for films produced before 2022. These films are typically selected for platforms like Prime Video and the Zigguart TV. However, if a filmmaker explicitly requests streaming distribution for a film produced after 2022, this can be indicated during submission by selecting the Online Streaming Distribution option.

Automatic Streaming Rights: By submitting your film and selecting the Online Streaming Distribution option, you grant us the right to distribute your film on streaming platforms immediately upon selection.

Revenue Share: For films selected for streaming distribution, you will receive 60% of the income generated by the film. Detailed contracts will be provided upon selection.

ACCEPTANCE OF THE RULES
By submitting to the Zigguart Filmfest, participants unconditionally accept all the regulations outlined herein. Any disputes not addressed in this regulation will be resolved by the festival’s organizing committee. If no resolution is reached, the competent authority will be the Court of Milan (Foro di Milano). In case of discrepancies, the Italian version of these regulations will prevail.PRIVACY POLICY
By entering the Zigguart Filmfest, participants consent, in accordance with Legislative Decree 30 June 2003, No. 196 on privacy protection, to the use of their personal data for activities related to the event.The filmmaker declares:
- Full acceptance of the regulations.
- Legal ownership of the film and authorization for its public screening without requiring compensation, releasing the festival organizers from any present or future liabilities.
The filmmaker also assumes full responsibility for the content of their submission, affirming ownership of all rights to the work and ensuring no infringement of third-party rights, including but not limited to:
- Other authors
- Subjects portrayed
- Transferees of rights
- Music rights
The filmmaker further declares that the submitted audiovisual material is not protected by SIAE (Italian Society of Authors and Publishers).
In compliance with Legislative Decree 30/06/2003 No. 196, the requested data is solely for the purpose of completing the festival registration process.
