Syncope

Linus von Stumberg (born 1996 in Göttingen, Germany) found his passion for film through his international job as a dancer and choreographer. In 2019, Linus began studying Film at the University of the Arts. Besides small acting roles, he wrote directed and edited his first short film LION’S CAGE, that premiered at Camerimage in 2021. In the same year, Linus made the multiple awarded music video SUNSHADES for the band Catalyst. 2023, he finished his second short film SYNCOPE, a dark thriller about dance. For this film he wrote the script, directed, co-edited and played the role of the antagonistic choreographer. Since its world premiere at Camerimage 2023, SYNCOPE won multiple awards at festivals like Max Ophüls Preis in Germany and in Sapporo, Japan.
