About the film
Man on The Silver Mountain is a character-driven short film that follows Alireza, a young Iranian actor struggling to secure a role in a film adaptation inspired by Le Père Goriot. Determined to prove himself, he sets out to create a compelling audition tape for the director.
However, as he attempts to rehearse and record his test performance, everyday obstacles — personal pressures, financial limitations, and emotional struggles — repeatedly interfere. Through a blend of realism and subtle irony, the film explores the fragile line between ambition and frustration, revealing the quiet resilience required to pursue art in the face of constant setbacks.
At its core, the film is a reflection on aspiration, vulnerability, and the relentless persistence of those who refuse to abandon their creative dreams.
