Before our very eyes a strange human-bird hybrid undergoes constant transformation to cope with the omnipresent tensions of economical, ideological, military, and climatic threats.

About the film

DISTURBIA explores the anxieties and contradictions of modern life through the surreal figure of BIRD-MAN, a human-bird hybrid caught between external social pressures and the unconscious forces within his own psyche. Developed through a process inspired by automatic drawing, the film moves between the sociological and the imaginary, using absurdity and symbolic imagery to examine identity, trauma, dissociation, and the growing economic, ideological, military, and climatic tensions of the contemporary world.

As these pressures intensify, BIRD-MAN physically multiplies, divides, tears apart, transforms, absorbs, and reconstructs himself, turning his internal conflicts into visible bodily transformations. His struggle between rejection and acceptance becomes a strange journey toward integration and wholeness. Through this restless modern figure, DISTURBIA ultimately considers whether humanity—despite its contradictions, fears, and self-created chaos—still has a chance to heal itself from its own madness.
